Since 1980, the mission of Hilltop Christian School in Antioch, Calif., has been to show children Jesus, nurture their love for Him and others, teach them to think critically, and empower them to serve. Each year during the holiday season, Hilltop places extra emphasis on “Service” and giving back to their local community and beyond.
This school year, Hilltop Christian School partnered with two local food banks collecting over 1,100 lbs of food (the equivalent to over 800+ meals) for families in need of extra assistance in the community. In addition to partnering with the local food banks, Hilltop partnered with Samaritan’s Purse, a non-profit global aid organization, and collected $1,000 to help children in need around the world with basic supplies.
“These service projects really excite our students and it’s a real joy to see them want to give year-round and be the hands and feet of Jesus to those in need” says Principal Mekey Lepulu.
