We have been ramping up our summer here at camp Wai’anae!

Our incredible staff first went through a week of training, where they heard more about being a new creation, and how that identity transforms all aspects of their lives. As they learned these new truths they became like family, and this family was READY for some campers!

With a “W-A-A” chant we started up our first week!

Campers came from all over, and with negative covid test results in hand, they were ready to jump in!

It was a fun first couple of days watching the campers have the time of their lives singing camp songs, going through an escape room, conquering their fears on the ropes course, and more. But most importantly, seeing campers joining into this new found family while also hearing the truth about how much Jesus loves them takes the cake. And to think…..this is only the beginning!

P.S. Did you Know?

In the 1960’s, God blessed the Hawaii Conference of Seventh-day Adventists with Camp Wai’anae, located on the more rural side of the island of Oahu. When it began, seven churches came together, each sponsoring the building of a cabin. Later a pool and basketball court were added. Camp Wai’anae has been the site of summer camps, camp meetings, Pathfinder and Adventurer Camporees, and much more.
