“Look! I found just what I needed!” Smiling community members greeted volunteers from the Page All Nations church. Over and over again, people expressed their thanks as they left the outdoor pavilion with their arms full of clothes and literature.
On March 29, Page All Nations hosted a 25 cent clothing sale for the community in their outdoor pavilion. The sale went on for two days, providing quality, affordable clothing and household items. The church was able to sell over 2,000 items of clothing.
Volunteers from the church gave literature to those who were interested and helped others fill out surveys. There was significant interest generated for gardening and healthy cooking classes. There was also interest for a women’s Bible study. Page All Nations followed up on the interest the very next week by starting a weekly women’s Bible study. On Sunday, April 18, they plan to launch a gardening class in their community garden.
“It was so exciting to see people pouring into our church parking lot! We are so grateful that we could be a part of this positive experience in the community,” says pastor’s wife Nancy Crosby.
Page All Nations strives to be the hands and feet of Jesus in their community. The clothing sale was a perfect opportunity to fill a need.
