Miramonte Christian School’s (MCS) students and staff led out both in-person and virtually during the hybrid Education Sabbath program at the Sunnyvale church on April 10. There were opportunities for everyone to participate. The 6th- to 8th-grade choir, under the direction of music teacher Mr. Douglas Knecht, premiered the song “Hallelu” from Three Bible Songs arranged by Mark Burrows.
Principal Rick Maloon gave the welcome, students read Scripture and participated in the call to worship praise team, and 8th-grade teacher Mrs. Ronna Sato presented digital Easter art from 7th- and 8th-graders. The worship message was given by one of the 5th-graders as well as a video sermon on The Shema (from Deuteronomy 6:4-9) by 7th- and 8th-graders. And who gave the closing blessing? A student from the MCS 4th-grade class.
Whether joining in-person or online, this special Sabbath program showcased the blessings of Adventist Education.
