Prayer Ministries for the Pacific Union Conference invites members to begin the New Year in prayer.

Prayer ministry teams in each of the seven conferences of the Pacific Union are joining together for a virtual prayer event titled “Lord, Make Us One in 2021.” This free event, happening January 6-15, will be hosted via Zoom from 7 to 8 each evening and is open to all.

“We are excited about this as it will be an interactive virtual prayer for revival in our union,” shared Karen Martell, director of prayer ministries in the Pacific Union. “I know that God has something wonderful planned.”

Leading this virtual prayer event will be different conference prayer ministries. Each nightly Zoom meeting will include messages from various speakers, special music, and time for communal prayer. Participants do not need to register, but they are encouraged to visit the Ten Days of Prayer website (, where they will find the format for the union’s prayer event and resources for each day—including devotionals, Bible readings, prayers, song suggestions, and outreach challenges. Free materials are available in over 20 languages.

“The Bible tells us to pray together,” Martell added. “When we pray together, there is power and unity in prayer. That’s why Christ calls us to pray. He’s calling us to revival.”
