Brazilian Students Jump Into Life at Monterey Bay Academy

This year Monterey Bay Academy welcomed their first students from Brazil! According to the school staff, the 14 Brazilian students have jumped right into life at MBA by joining varsity sports, choir, the handbell choir, and even the surf club. In the dorms, the new students are also getting to share their own culture with others, including sharing Brazilian foods, games, and holidays. According to Kevin Bowen, vice principal for enrollment services at MBA, “They are a joy to have on campus as they bring an incredible spirit of joy and life that comes from their Brazilian culture.” Welcome to MBA!

The outreach is opening up doors for getting young people involved in ministry—something both Thrive and the NUC looks forward to continuing!

Western Prayer Circle

Today we invite you to pray for the literature ministry teams working across the Pacific Union. From sharing books on health to sharing conversations about the Good News of salvation, these individuals are on the front lines of ministry. Pray for them to live God’s love in effective and meaningful ways.
