Unto These Hills

I live in an area of Southern California surrounded by hills – hills that turn to lush green after the rain. Hills that bring me comfort in times of uncertainty. Hills that remind me of Psalm 121:1-2, “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth” (KJV). I will continue to “lift up my eyes to the hills” and remember where my help comes from. It comes from God.

Central Calif. Conference Young Adult Department Launches GROWTHLAB

This week, the Central Calif. Conference Young Adult Department launched a new project called GROWTHLAB. “We get it, quarantine may have you feeling aimless and unproductive,” shared the young adult department leadership on social media. “We will be hosting online meetings through Zoom with experts and talented people in a particular field. They are going to share the greatest tips and tricks on how to improve and expand skills in specific areas of life!” On Tuesday and Thursday evenings, young people are joining Zoom meetings to learn new skills from experts. This last Tuesday, 180 individuals registered for their first class—Photography 101: Composition and the Hunt for Light. Future classes will include music, singing, cooking, studying the Bible, minimalism, and more.
