Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. –Philippians 2:4

Great is His Faithfulness

Thomas Chisholm opened his Bible to Lamentations 3:22-23 and read: “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is Thy faithfulness.” With an unconscious burst of creativity, Chisholm wrote a poem. Read the first verse below. Pause at the periods, which have been added for emphasis. Let the words sink into your soul.
Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father. There is no shadow of turning with Thee. Thou changest not. Thy compassions they fail not. As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be. Great is Thy faithfulness. Great is Thy faithfulness. Morning by morning new mercies I see. All I have needed Thy hand hath provided. Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto me.
God reminds us that His compassion is “new every morning.” Truly, His faithfulness to us is great! Let’s be full of praise now, today, tomorrow, and always.

Fusion Ministries Feeds Homeless in San Bernardino

When San Bernardino’s homeless shelters closed in mid-March, a local ministry, Fusion Ministries, began organizing daily food distributions and donation drop offs to help support the homeless community during the Coronavirus pandemic. Supporting them with food and financial donations are local restaurants and members of local churches, such as the Loma Linda Korean Church, Loma Linda Indonesian Church, and the San Bernardino Community SDA Church. As they are available, members dedicate time to prepare sack lunches and food in carry-out containers (as well as assemble personal-hygiene kits). Meals are delivered by volunteers equipped with masks, gloves, and a word of encouragement for those they meet.
