Good Morning!
April 30, 2020
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. –Romans 8:28
Be Anxious for Nothing
In Philippians 4, Paul counsels us to “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;” and then, the amazing promise, “and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” In other words, “Don’t worry, pray about everything, be thankful, let God know your every need!” And then, “the peace of God, which you can’t even begin to understand, will act as a hedge of protection around your heart and mind.” These were exactly the words I needed today, during these fearful times. And I think that you may need them, too. Praying for that peace, beyond our human comprehension, to envelop our hearts and minds today.

Higher Grounds Virtual Event Provides Spiritual Care for
Adventist Health Associates
In an effort to provide spiritual and emotional support, relevant medical and health information, and creative opportunities for connection, Dr. Jeff Egler, medical director and provider for Inspire Health Center, and Dr. Randy Speyer, mission director for Adventist Health Roseville, launched Higher Grounds on Friday, March 20. This daily virtual event is 30 minutes long and is moderated by Joe Morrell, administrative director of the Inspire Health Center. It was designed to provide a safe place for associates to ask important questions related to their physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional well-being. In addition, practical resources are provided and there are opportunities for participants to share creative solutions to common challenges—as well as stories of courage and hope.

P.S. Did You Know?
Emily Dickinson once said, “Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul and sings the tune without the words — And never stops at all.”
