Good Morning!
Nov 26, 2020
“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.” –Colossians 3:15
Reasons to Rejoice
Behavioral health experts have learned that our self-worth is positively impacted when someone tells us thank you. Hearing the words “thank not” only makes us feel good about ourselves, it increases the chances that we are more helpful and generous to those around us. Being thankful makes a difference in our lives! Thankfulness benefits everyone.
Gratitude helps focus in on what is really valuable, and can help us better understand our lives as distinctive and unique. Gratitude may help us see things we might have overlooked.
Even In the midst of difficult times, there are many reasons for us to remember that “This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalm 118:24). Thankfulness unlocks the door through which appreciation and blessing may flow into our lives.

Adventist Health St. Helena Hospital Foundation Hosts Thanksgiving Meal Distribution
The St. Helena Hospital Foundation, a philanthropic foundation providing support for Adventist Health St. Helena, recently partnered with several organizations to host a drive-thru distribution event and flu shot clinic on Monday, Nov. 23 at the Calistoga Seventh-day Adventist Church in Calistoga, Calif. The organizations gave out an estimated 600 turkeys, as well as food boxes, blankets, and a variety of household necessities on a first-come, first-serve basis. In a statement, St. Helena Hospital Foundation shared, “Our hope is to provide support to farmworker families and those who have been impacted by the recent fires and COVID-19 in our UpValley communities.” This foundation’s vision for transforming the health of their community moved them to meet tangible needs to those around them—and live God’s love this holiday season.
