Families from Riverview Christian Academy (RCA) in Reno, Nev., recently encouraged those in their school family that are serving on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. RCA parent Krista Wyman and her children, Dani, Brody, and Rylee organized an appreciation gift for both a doctor and nurse who are connected to the school. The Wyman’s asked families to pray for them, collect small gifts that would bring a smile to their faces, and drop off in a basket placed in front of each of the homes during a specific time. Near the basket was a giant “card” inviting others to sign or write words of encouragement and praise. “I wanted them to feel appreciated and remind them all that Jesus loves us,” Dani Wyman said. “It makes me sad that I can’t play with them [their children] now, so this was a way to make them feel happier because they could be missing friends too.”
