Celebrating Milestones: NUC Graduates 15 Eighth-Graders
This year, Nevada Utah Conference (NUC) celebrates 15 bright young individuals who graduated from eighth grade, preparing to embark on their high school journeys. The ceremonies across the Conference not only celebrated academic achievements but also underscored the growth and potential of each graduate.
Students were honored for their hard work and commitment to their studies, with families and teachers applauding their efforts. “We are incredibly proud of each graduate and all they have accomplished,” said Heidi Jorgenson, NUC education superintendent. “These young individuals have shown dedication, resilience, and a thirst for knowledge throughout the school year. As they step into their next adventure, we encourage them to continue pursuing excellence in their academic pursuits, personal growth, and especially their spiritual growth.”
NUC looks forward to seeing how these young individuals will flourish, contributing positively to their communities and embracing the values that Adventist education instilled in them.
Growing Young Leaders: Habib Nathaniel Camacho Receives Scholarship
Habib Nathaniel Camacho has been awarded the Growing Young Leaders scholarship. This scholarship not only recognizes his academic excellence but will also support his pursuit of music education at Pacific Union College.
Habib, known for his passion for music, expressed gratitude upon receiving this honor. “I am excited and humbled to receive the Growing Young Leaders scholarship,” he said. The scholarship will provide him with invaluable opportunities to further develop his musical talents and leadership skills in a supportive and enriching environment.

Growing Loving Followers of Jesus: Baptism at Bishop Adventist Christian School
On Friday, May 31, in a touching chapel service, the halls of Bishop Adventist Christian School echoed with joyous celebrations as Pastor Mario Navarro baptized a total of 11 students, each embarking on a personal journey of faith and commitment. The school was filled with reverence and jubilation as these young hearts made a public declaration of their faith and desire to follow Jesus.
Reflecting on the occasion, Pastor Mario shared, “It’s a blessing to witness our students taking this important step in their spiritual lives. We believe in nurturing not only their academic growth but also their spiritual growth, helping them become loving followers of Jesus.”

Similarly, Glenn Bentjen’s retirement from Riverview Adventist Academy marks the end of an era characterized by his profound impact on students and colleagues. His commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment and his passion for instilling values rooted in faith have been hallmarks of his career. Affectionately known as Mr. B., he is known to be a teacher who will always fight for the students.
