Adventist Malama Elementary School (AMES), located at the Wai‘anae church, is blessed to be supported by four constituency churches, staff, families, and friends who have placed AMES as part of their mission. AMES has enjoyed getting back to “normal” even though the pandemic and lingering COVID are still in our thoughts and prayers. AMES continues to participate in church services by having the K-8 students lead out in children’s stories, Scripture readings, and music. They have begun a traveling children’s choir called Na Leo o Lani—Heavenly Voices—led by grades 6-8 teacher, Joann Lili’o. The choir had their first performance at the Wai‘anae church on September 24, and all were blessed by their performance.
AMES and Wai‘anae church will also begin an Adventurers Club, and they are inviting the parents and community to join in on Wednesdays.
