November 2, 2024, was a day to celebrate at the Maranatha church in Las Vegas as the church came together for the Pathfinder Club investiture. This wasn’t just another Sabbath; it was a day filled with smiles, hugs, and a sense of accomplishment.
Investiture is a special moment for Pathfinders. It’s a time when months of effort, learning, and service are recognized in a meaningful ceremony. For the Pathfinders at Maranatha, it was their chance to receive affirmation for everything they had worked so hard to achieve. More importantly, it was an opportunity to reaffirm their commitment to Christ and to serving others.
Church leaders, who had poured time and effort into mentoring these young people, were also at the heart of the celebration. Their dedication to going through the Pathfinder curriculum with these young people, organizing service projects, leading Bible studies, and fostering spiritual growth had paved the way for this moment. For them, seeing their Pathfinders recognized was as rewarding as it was emotional.
During the ceremony, the congregation was reminded of the purpose behind it all. It’s not just about the Pathfinders completing tasks or ticking off requirements. It’s about shaping individuals who will carry their faith and values into the world—leading and serving in ways that reflect Christ’s love.
Ramon Verduzco, the pastor of this congregation, summed it up beautifully, saying, “Working with Pathfinders is like planting a seed that will grow for years to come.”
Investitures are not just a way to recognize what was achieved during the year; they are also a launchpad for what lies ahead. For these Pathfinders, the badges earned and lessons learned are stepping stones to even greater challenges and opportunities. They now step into a new year, ready to go deeper in their faith, serve their communities, and for some, embrace leadership roles within the church.

Un día para recordar: investidura de Conquistadores en la iglesia Maranata
El 2 de noviembre de 2024 fue un día para celebrar en la iglesia Maranata en Las Vegas, ya que la iglesia se reunió para la investidura del Club Conquistador. Ese no fue un día de reposo más; fue un día lleno de sonrisas, abrazos y una sensación de logro.
La investidura es un momento especial para los Conquistadores. Es un momento en el que los meses de esfuerzo, aprendizaje y servicio se reconocen en una ceremonia significativa. Para los Conquistadores de Maranata, fue su oportunidad de recibir afirmación por todo lo que habían trabajado tan duro para lograr. Más importante aún, fue una oportunidad para reafirmar su compromiso con Cristo y con el servicio a los demás.
Los líderes de la Iglesia, que habían invertido tiempo y esfuerzo en la mentoría de esos jóvenes, también estuvieron en el centro de la celebración. Su dedicación a recorrer el curso de estudio de Conquistadores con esos jóvenes, organizar proyectos de servicio, dirigir estudios bíblicos y fomentar el crecimiento espiritual habían allanado el camino para ese momento. Para ellos, ver a sus Conquistadores reconocidos fue tan gratificante como emotivo.
Durante la ceremonia, se recordó a la congregación el propósito detrás de todo ese esfuerzo. No se trata solo de que los Conquistadores completen tareas o cumplan requisitos. Se trata de formar personas que lleven su fe y sus valores al mundo, liderando y sirviendo de manera que reflejen el amor de Cristo.
Ramón Verduzco, el pastor de esa congregación, lo resumió maravillosamente, diciendo: «Trabajar con los Conquistadores es como plantar una semilla que crecerá en los años venideros».
Las investiduras no son solo una forma de reconocer lo logrado durante el año; también son una plataforma de lanzamiento para lo que está por venir. Para esos Conquistadores, las insignias obtenidas y las lecciones aprendidas son peldaños hacia desafíos y oportunidades aún mayores. Ahora entran en un nuevo año, listos para profundizar en su fe, servir a sus comunidades y, para algunos, adoptar roles de liderazgo dentro de la iglesia.
