A quarterly meeting has been started to help Central California Conference (CCC) pastors and give them new tools to face the many challenges presented in their calling. The first meeting, which took place the first Wednesday of August, was a time for the pastors to meet at the conference office for training, motivation, inspiration, sharing resources, and more. These meetings will include seminars from different pastors and leaders and will help local pastors share their knowledge with each other.
“This is a new initiative we started this year,” explained Ricardo Viloria, CCC ministerial and church planting director. “I am wearing two hats. One is church planting and the other is ministerial. As the ministerial director for the conference, I am responsible for developing and training the pastors and making sure they get the training and tools necessary for their responsibilities. The idea is to train and teach pastors how to lead by Jesus in a practical way.”
Each meeting will focus on specific topics such as finances, inspiration, conflict, and more. The first meeting, which took place August 2, was led by CCC President Dan Serns, who spoke about mobilizing the church, the mission of the church, and the life of the pastor—balancing life, family, health, and pastoral work.
“Dan Serns’ presentation was a blessing for the pastors there,” said Viloria. The second meeting, taking place at the beginning of October, will address conflict management in the church.
“This is connected with a vision we have,” said Viloria. “We want to mobilize people, we want to start new groups, and we want to baptize people.” He added that this leadership institute is going to give the pastors the tools to move that vision forward. The leadership institute is intended to train the pastors and give them the necessary resources and tools to face the challenges they have.

Instituto de liderazgo de CCC conecrta a pastores y provee herramientas
Se ha iniciado una reunión trimestral para ayudar a los pastores de la Central California Conference (CCC) y darles nuevas herramientas para enfrentar los muchos desafíos presentados en su llamado. La primera reunión, que tuvo lugar el primer miércoles de agosto, fue un momento para que los pastores se reunieran en la oficina de la conferencia para recibir capacitación, motivación, inspiración, compartir recursos y más. Esas reuniones incluirán seminarios de diferentes pastores y líderes y ayudarán a nuestros pastores a compartir sus conocimientos entre sí.
«Esta es una nueva iniciativa que comenzamos este año», explicó Ricardo Viloria, director ministerial y de plantación de iglesias de la CCC. «Llevo dos sombreros. Uno es el de plantación de iglesias y el otro es el ministerial. Como director ministerial de la conferencia, soy responsable de desarrollar y capacitar a los pastores y asegurarme de que reciban la capacitación y las herramientas necesarias para sus responsabilidades. La idea es capacitar y enseñar a los pastores cómo guiar hacia Jesús de una manera práctica».
Cada reunión se centrará en temas específicos como finanzas, inspiración, conflictos y más. La primera reunión, que tuvo lugar el 2 de agosto, fue encabezada por el presidente de la CCC, Dan Serns, quien habló sobre la movilización de la iglesia, la misión de la iglesia y la vida del pastor, equilibrando la vida, la familia, la salud y el trabajo pastoral.
«La presentación de Dan Serns fue una bendición para los pastores», dijo Viloria. La segunda reunión, que tendrá lugar a principios de octubre, abordará la gestión de conflictos en la iglesia.
«Eso está conectado con la visión que tenemos», dijo Viloria. «Queremos movilizar a la gente, queremos crear nuevos grupos y queremos bautizar a la gente». Agregó que ese instituto de liderazgo les va a dar a los pastores las herramientas para avanzar en esa visión. El instituto de liderazgo tiene como objetivo capacitar a los pastores y darles los recursos y herramientas necesarias para enfrentar sus desafíos.
