On Jan. 25, an engaged group of 27 undergraduate and graduate student leaders, union-level youth directors, and NAD leaders met via Zoom to discuss what young people need to feel part of church life and leadership and how the NAD can better support them. The North American Division and Sonscreen Film Festival have announced the release of a new short film entitled Those Were the Good Days. Before the pandemic, the last mission trip by a medical team of the Guam Seventh-day Adventist Clinic was in Nov. 2019. The return to missions began in Nov. 2022 when the clinic’s eye care team went to the Republic of Palau, followed by a medical and dental trip to Rota in the U.S. territory of the Northern Mariana Islands in Jan. 2023. On April 9, Breath of Life Television Ministries, in conjunction with the Interfaith Broadcasting Commission (IBC), will air an Easter special on NBC affiliate stations across the United States. The theme for the special is “A Living Hope,” and the one-hour special will feature a message from Debleaire Snell. MORE

 

NASCAR driver Corey Lajoie and Irvine-based nonprofit Jessie Rees Foundation partnered to gift 100 "JoyJars" filled with toys, games, and activities to patients at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital Thursday, Feb. 23. MORE

 

William G. Johnsson, editor of Adventist Review from 1982 to 2006 and founding editor of Adventist World in 2005-2006, passed to his rest in Loma Linda, Calif., on March 11. Johnsson is remembered in this tribute article, special Review column, and in this obituary article. The Memorial Service for Johnsson will be held on March 25, at 6 p.m. PT, at Crosswalk Church in Redlands, Calif. The service will be streamed live from the church.
