Teen FLOW got its start in 2022 with the mission to nurture the growth of teen leaders of Southeastern California Conference (SECC) Pathfinders. With tremendous success and great fellowship, Teen FLOW saw its third annual one-day event occur in December 2024 at La Sierra Academy.
Over 220 teen Pathfinders from across SECC gathered for the one-day event, almost doubling the number of teens from last year. With a focus on Faith, Leadership, Outreach, and Witnessing, the day’s activities included worship, breakout sessions, and a message from the main speaker, George Tuyu, youth pastor of Azure Hills church. Tuyu emphasized with attendees how God shapes their lives and works with them and through them for His glory.
The breakout sessions of the day were divided by the pillars of FLOW. For “Faith” and “Leadership,” Pathfinder teens enjoyed crafting care packages and working together on a collaborative drawing activity. “Outreach” and “Witnessing” saw attendees visit Gardens of Riverside, an assisted living facility, and engage with its residents and staff. Aren Rennacker, SECC director of youth and young adults, shared his own insights on the valuable skills needed when sharing the gospel with others.
For Jared Gonzalez, SECC assistant director for youth media, his first Teen FLOW experience was one he won’t forget. “To see the excitement and drive for ministry these Pathfinders had in them was amazing,” shared Gonzalez. “Pathfinder teens are so eager to learn and grow spiritually together.”
The growth of Teen FLOW has been inspiring—the benefits teen leaders gain from it even more so. “It is a reminder that we should continue to equip and provide resources for our youth so that they can continue in the path God wants for their lives,” Gonzalez reflected. Rennacker added, “We are grateful for the leadership of our Teen FLOW coordinators, Mercy and JJ Martinez, and to Pastor George for his timely messages. We look forward to the next event!”

Teen FLOW de SECC empodera a más de 220 líderes adolescentes en el ministerio
Teen FLOW comenzó en 2022 con la misión de fomentar el crecimiento de los líderes adolescentes de los Conquistadores de la Southeastern California Conference (SECC). Con un tremendo éxito y un gran compañerismo, Teen FLOW vio su tercer evento anual de un día en diciembre de 2024 en La Sierra Academy.
Más de 220 Conquistadores adolescentes de toda SECC se reunieron para el evento de un día, casi duplicando el número de adolescentes del año pasado. Con un enfoque en la Fe, el Liderazgo, el Ministerio y el Testimonio, las actividades del día incluyeron adoración, sesiones de trabajo y un mensaje del orador principal, George Tuyu, pastor de jóvenes de la iglesia Azure Hills. Tuyu enfatizó con los asistentes cómo Dios moldea sus vidas y trabaja con ellos y a través de ellos para su gloria.
Las sesiones de trabajo del día se dividieron por los pilares de FLOW. Para «Fe» y «Liderazgo», los Conquistadores disfrutaron elaborando paquetes de ayuda y trabajando juntos en una actividad de dibujo colaborativo. En «Alcance» y «Testimonio», los asistentes visitaron Gardens of Riverside, un centro de vida asistida, e interactuaron con sus residentes y personal. Aren Rennacker, director de jóvenes y jóvenes adultos de SECC, compartió sus propias percepciones sobre las valiosas habilidades necesarias para compartir el Evangelio con los demás.
Para Jared González, subdirector de medios juveniles de SECC, su primera experiencia con Teen FLOW fue una que no olvidará. «Ver el entusiasmo y el impulso por el ministerio que esos Conquistadores tenían fue increíble», compartió González. «Los adolescentes Conquistadores están muy ansiosos por aprender y crecer espiritualmente juntos».
El crecimiento de Teen FLOW ha sido inspirador, y los beneficios que los líderes adolescentes obtienen es aún mayor. «Es un recordatorio de que debemos seguir equipando y proporcionando recursos a nuestros jóvenes para que puedan continuar en el camino que Dios quiere para sus vidas», reflexionó González. Rennacker agregó: «Estamos agradecidos por el liderazgo de nuestros coordinadores de Teen FLOW, Mercy y JJ Martínez, y al Pastor George por sus mensajes oportunos. ¡Esperamos con ansias el próximo evento!»
