Dani Wyman and her parents, Krista and Mark, found themselves disappointed with the public school near their home in Reno, Nevada, and were providentially led to Riverview Christian Academy. They actually just noticed the sign as they were driving home after much searching for other options, and they decided to check it out!
Dani, a second grader-to-be at the time, had experienced some rather harsh and challenging situations with the public school teacher and students at her previous school, which she had only attended a few short months after the family moved into town. Dani met the second-grade teacher at Riverview, and they hit it off right away with their mutual admiration for animals. So Dani and her family eagerly committed to giving Adventist education a chance. Her older brother enrolled as well.
In second and third grades, Dani noticeably grew spiritually. She so enjoyed the times spent in class reading and studying the Bible that she searched for Bible shows to watch at home, read daily devotions and the Bible with her mom and to anyone who would listen, and carried her Bible everywhere—even to sleepovers, where she would read to the younger siblings of her friend! She loved learning God’s Word so much so that she requested to learn more about baptism, despite being baptized as a toddler in another denomination. Associate Pastor Damon Washington began preparing Dani for baptism, along with several other classmates. She and two of those classmates committed their lives to Christ through baptism at the end of the school year program and graduation. It was inspiring to see the enthusiasm Dani and her friends had for Jesus!
The story doesn’t end there, though. Dani continued her enthusiasm for Bible study and sharing her love for Christ! She continues to be a spiritual leader among her peers.
Although the rest of her family didn’t attend the Riverview Adventist church as often as she would have liked, Dani made sure she got there by asking them to drop her off each Sabbath morning so she could attend Sabbath School and the main service to praise God. The mother of her classmate and friend Eva Lujan offered to nurture Dani’s love for Jesus and take her home afterward. Eva’s mom, Brissa, said that Dani has been such a blessing to their family, and her eager participation in Sabbath School has really inspired other children.
Dani is now in sixth grade. She and her family had to relocate to a different state, but Dani continues to visit Riverview Christian Academy every opportunity she has when her family is in Reno. Her friendships with her peers at Riverview run deep, and they continue to remain in contact. God has big plans for Dani Wyman, and we can’t wait to see where the Lord continues to lead her!

Impacto espiritual de la educación cristiana
Dani Wyman y sus padres, Krista y Mark, se sintieron decepcionados con la escuela pública cerca de su casa en Reno, Nevada, y fueron conducidos providencialmente a Riverview Christian Academy. De hecho, se dieron cuenta del letrero mientras conducían a casa después de considerar muchas opciones, ¡y decidieron echarle un vistazo!
Dani, una futura estudiante de segundo grado en ese momento, había experimentado algunas situaciones bastante duras y desafiantes con la maestra de la escuela pública y los estudiantes de su escuela, a la que solo había asistido unos pocos meses después de que la familia se mudase a la ciudad. Dani conoció a la maestra de segundo grado en Riverview y congeniaron de inmediato con su admiración mutua por los animales. Así que Dani y su familia se comprometieron con entusiasmo a darle una oportunidad a la educación adventista. Su hermano mayor también se matriculó.
En segundo y tercer grado, Dani creció notablemente espiritualmente. Disfrutaba tanto de los momentos que pasaba en clase leyendo y estudiando la Biblia que buscaba programas bíblicos para ver en casa, leía los devocionales diarios y la Biblia a su madre y a cualquiera que quisiera escucharla, y llevaba su Biblia a todas partes, ¡incluso a las fiestas de pijamas, donde leía a los hermanos menores de su amiga! Le gustaba tanto aprender de la Palabra de Dios que pidió aprender más sobre el bautismo, a pesar de haber sido bautizada cuando era niña en otra denominación. El pastor Damon Washington comenzó a preparar a Dani para el bautismo, junto con varios otros compañeros de su clase. Ella y dos de esos compañeros entregaron sus vidas a Cristo a través del bautismo al final del programa del año escolar y la graduación. ¡Fue inspirador ver el entusiasmo que Dani y sus amigos tenían por Jesús!
Sin embargo, la historia no termina ahí. ¡Dani continuó su entusiasmo por el estudio de la Biblia y por compartir su amor por Cristo! Ella sigue siendo una líder espiritual entre sus compañeros.
Aunque el resto de su familia no asistía a la iglesia adventista de Riverview tan a menudo como a ella le hubiese gustado, Dani se aseguró de pedirles que la dejasen todos los sábados por la mañana para que pudiese asistir a la Escuela Sabática y al culto para alabar a Dios. La madre de su compañera de clase y amiga, Eva Luján, se ofreció a alimentar el amor de Dani por Jesús y llevarla a casa después. La mamá de Eva, Brissa, dijo que Dani ha sido una gran bendición para su familia, y su entusiasta participación en la Escuela Sabática realmente ha inspirado a otros chicos.
Dani está ahora en sexto grado. Ella y su familia tuvieron que mudarse a otro estado, pero Dani continúa visitando Riverview Christian Academy cada vez que tiene la oportunidad cuando su familia está en Reno. La amistad con sus compañeros en Riverview es profunda y continúa en contacto con ellos. Dios tiene grandes planes para Dani Wyman, ¡y no podemos esperar a ver a dónde la sigue guiando el Señor!
