On May 30, 2024, our production team went to Riverside, California, along with officers from the Pacific Union Conference, to celebrate the grand opening of Vista de La Sierra.
Vista de La Sierra has transformed land owned by the Seventh-day Adventist church into a beautiful 80-apartment affordable housing community in the La Sierra neighborhood of Riverside.
This innovative housing community is the result of a partnership between National CORE, Mercy House, and the Pacific Union Conference. Vista de La Sierra will serve individuals and families who earn 30 to 60% of the area median income.
It was an inspiring and thrilling afternoon—and through this report I hope you will sense how important this project is to the entire La Sierra community.
