Located in the beautiful Waianae Valley of Oahu, Camp Waianae hosts groups year-round, offering a chance to get away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu, while still being close enough to enjoy all of the activities Oahu has to offer. The summer camp program is for young people ages 6 to 17, and it brings together the beauty of Hawaii and a passion for youth ministry.
This summer was full of fun and faith-filled activities for the campers. Steve Mota, who worked at Camp Waianae as programming director, wrote about his experience in the September Recorder.

On August 14, Ester van den Hoven celebrated her 100th birthday at Linda Valley Villa in Loma Linda, California. The mayor of Loma Linda and the Loma Linda fire department came to surprise Ester with greetings and congratulations. They also issued a proclamation from the city just for her. Ester credits her longevity to her healthy, active lifestyle and her faith in God. Happy 100th birthday, dear Ester!
